A Day in our Lives

I thought I would borrow the title of Tanis' blog for this post. It seemed to fit.

Aaron tells stories of when he was young and he and his siblings would spend hours and hours working in the garden. Well, no garden here, just Aaron's business. This is how we spent our Saturday: Packaging Sonicare toothbrushes.

1. Bringing the toothbrushes in and unloading them.

2. Making the boxes and lining them up in our living room.

3. Putting eco-friendly peanuts in the bottom of the boxes.

4. Putting the toothbrushes in the boxes, sealing them up and stacking them in my dining room.

We did this in groups of fifty until we finished 200 toothbrushes. It took us over five hours, even with all of the help from the kids. And we still have to label, stamp, and send these things out. This actually was a bigger job but still typical for how we spend our days. Aaron did reward us for all our hard work by getting us the new Kung Fu Panda movie. He made caramel popcorn all by himself and let us have movie night!

My boys would have loved helping out with that kind of project - all the organizing and putting things into boxes :)
