They actually put the safety of other children in his hands.
Each week six fourth graders get to man the three cross walks in front of the school. Since our school does not have a parking lot this is a big responsibility. Kaden was THRILLED to be assigned to the middle, main cross walk. He had a great time and loved the pizza they paid him with.

Awe Kaden good for you! I was captain of my safety patrol group in grade 5! It's a big responsibility...but someone's got to keep the kids safe;) nice work kaden!
I can't believe how grown up Kaden is! It boggles my mind! Oh and just so you know we are looking at your blog 24/7 because Libbi always wants to see the princesses. She just sat here for 30 min and scrolled up and down. So funny!
